The phase shift FBG developed and manufactured by Connet is a notch filter with extremely narrow linewidth (FWHM), which maintains a suitable distance between two uniform-period fiber Bragg gratings to achieve a phase shift of π or π / 2. Gratings of this structure can be written into rare-earth doped fibers to form DFB-type single-frequency fiber lasers. Arrays of multiple phase-shifted fiber gratings can be used as phase-sensitive sensors for acoustic signal detection, such as fiber laser hydrophon.
